R & R

In the midst of a 9 day stretch and luckily keeping myself from over thinking it and getting myself into a panic.  Last night Mr and I had a great evening with my Rock Star Lesbos at their new pad.  They aren't walking distance by any means, but I'm excited for them to have a new place to call their own and that life is treating them so well.  Mr. and I are loving the patio weather and we have it suited out like you wouldn't believe.  We made the cutest patio herb garden out of a rustic metal wall magazine rack from Homegoods...I'm addicted to Homegoods!  It is growing so well and it's awesome having fresh herbs again for my cooking frenzies.  Our heirloom tomatoes are doing great too and we already have some tomatoes on them.

Last fall on our beach weekend we fell in love with this amazing vine growing up a building along the boardwalk.  It was this gorgeous combination of purple and green leaves with little purple flowers and these  crazy purple green pods.  We had no idea what it was, but snapped off a piece and brought it home in water.  It was doing well on our window sill, but ended up not making it.  On our most recent flower buying spree at our favorite nursery we ended up finding it...a Hyacinth Bean.  So, we of course snatched it up and it's trellising up a crazy piece of thick root vine that we drug up from the creek.  Anywho, super excited that the patio is open and such an inviting place to check out and relax.

I'm hoping for a good weekend at work so that next week rolls with ease and doesn't just hammer me to the ground.  I keep thinking I'll get a call about a cool job with a regular schedule and that I can just dive into without so much turmoil...but until then...I'm gonna press on and make shit pretty and avoid the drama.  For now I'm going to get a bit of patio time in the the dogs while Mr. is off making pretty shit and then he to work.  It's going to be a late night I can tell, so I need as much peace as I can muster.

Enjoy the beautiful day and soak up some sun...unless you're albino, then cover up and stay safe.

A little beach inspiration for the weekend.

Ho Ho Ho-down!

So excited.  Just home, walked the dogs, and now Xmas break can finally begin.  Sure, it's only 3 days for me...but still...it's a break!  Mr. just walked in with a palm tree the size of the Washington Monument...for our condo.  I'm going to have to do some creative arranging to find room for this sucker.  It's almost brushing the ceiling...and they're 10' tall.  Anywho...i'll do my best to find it a happy place to live and try and keep it alive.  My other plants are doing well so far...and my orchid is actually sprouting new leaves and hopefully will shoot  another stem for buds out soon.

So, it'll be a whirlwind weekend between trying to relax and trying to bounce from family function to family function, but I'm still super excited.  Headed out to do a bit of shopping tonight...mostly parental gifts and wrapping paper.  I love wrapping presents!  Bring out the ribbons, bows, and shiny shit.

This week has been a crazy one fo sho and I'm so glad I survived without imploding from people's bullshit at work.  You'd think the clients would cause the most drama, but not this week.  And it was even harder to deal with since I'm sitting on some good news that I am taking the weekend to make a final call on...butt let's just say it's leaning towards a new path and a new beginning...with a huge amount of growth potential.  It's just always scary thinking about starting fresh...even when the current situation is so unbearably ridiculous at times.
Anywho...must feed the pups and figure out what is in store for this evenings adventures.

Happy last minute prep to all - Rin

Pits,Hair,Tatts, and C**K

Mr.'s home from work just as I was getting ready to write a long, wordy, and deep post.  Oh well, next time...here's some hot pictures in the meantime, cuz I gotta tend to my man...he's tired, worn out to hell, and needs some huggin.  It's a little mix of pits, hair, cock, and tatts...kinda like what occupies my bed.  :-)

Tattoo Tuesday

So, the official word from Dell Tech Support...my laptop needs a new hard drive.  I was unable to recover any of my documents or my entire archive of photos.  Gah!  I have some documents on a back-up with the ex, and I'm thinking he may want to see the dogs in exchange for the files...but I haven't asked yet.  I was hoping to find them so I didn't have to go there.  Of course, he could put them on a cd and just send them to me, but he hasn't offered.  But, the good news...my warranty expired in ten days.  If I had been busy with work or just not using my laptop that day...and not up on the fact that my warranty was expiring, it could have been a much worse situation.  The thing is only a year old...so, it would have been a very expensive paperweight!

Anywho, I'm resolved to the fact that what's lost is just info that had no value and that what was valuable enough, I will remember, and recreate.  As for the photos...I will just have to start a new archive for the blog...which just means I have an excuse to peak around and enjoy the finds.  This time around I'm going to do a much more thorough job organizing them though.  It'll make keeping up with things on here much more efficient.  So, I need to get out the door.  Boys are walked and fed...Mr. is off to his first day at the new gig...and I am caffeinated.  Thanks for sticking up with me!  I have some fun plans in the works...and a new blog with Mr. coming together.  Keep an eye out for me!  It's all around the corner, I just have to keep moving to figure out which fucking corner.

Booyah! - Rin

Sunday Funday

Woke up with my man curled up next to me...best way to wake up fur sure!  Of course we were hit with an ungodly early snowfall yesterday.  Luckily it mostly melted after hitting the ground.  It was even cold enough last evening that we broke out the dog's coats for the evening walk.  No they are not covered in Swarovski crystals.  They are utilitarian and yet remain adorable when the boys are out and about in them.  We rented "Paul" last evening...cute...not as good as the other movies by the same guys, but still had some good parts.  I of course adore Kristen Wiig!  She kinda stole a few scenes, which I had no problem with at all.  We wanted to get "Bridesmaids" but Redbox blew that plan, so at least she was in "Paul" and I wasn't totally disappointed.

Today Mr. is working...I'm just feeling really campy around the house.  I pulled up some extra paints from my storage room in the basement so I may get one of my new projects rolling.  I do have to pop out for some final elements to my costume for work...yes, we dress up at work.  I also am making chicken and dumplings for our potluck tomorrow.  I think i'll get everything cooked and just assemble it in the crock pot tomorrow morning.  The cold weather makes me want to bake and simmer shit til I can't stand it any more.  Weird how we're programmed to feel like that...the cave has a chill, we must make more food!

Anywho...must get rolling.  I figured some meat below would be a healthy way to start the day of cooking and what not.  - Rin

Furrost! Already?

They're already calling for snow...well, hopefully flurries only, but already?!?!  It seems we now just have two seasons...summer and winter.  We had insane heat in early spring, and now we're busting right through my favorite season, and one thing that keeps me from completely missing my west coast beach life, and it just is gone in a blink.  I drove to work yesterday with my seat warmers on high...and I never do that cuz it makes me feel like I pooped myself.  No one likes to question whether they pooped themselves on the way to work, so I typically go right to low and just leave it at that.  But yesterday felt like jack frost slapped me in the face when I got into my truck.

Not sure what the weekend will bring.  I do know I desperately need to go grocery shopping.  I usually am on such a good regular schedule with stocking food, but lately I've just had no desire to go, and last week I didn't want to stock food and have it go to waste while I was on vacay.  So, i'm down to bare bones and feeling a bit like Old Mother Hubbard.  My dogs are eating great though. Luckily Mr. treated me to dinner last night after work so we had some time to unwind together.  I think I may be fighting off the tip of a cold that has been circling my office...and I will beat this thing before I start showing more symptoms then a random sneeze and a foggy head in the morning.  Another reason I must motivate myself to get to the store...Emergen-C to the rescue.

In the meantime, grow your chest hair out, or if that's not an option, find a fuzzy man to curl up with and prepare for winter, because she's a coming! - Rin
