Sunday Sip

Enjoying a cup of coffee w my dogs nestled beside me is a great way to start the day. Off to work soon and then making Mr homemade pesto pizza. Enjoying as much of this amazing weather as I can!

R & R

In the midst of a 9 day stretch and luckily keeping myself from over thinking it and getting myself into a panic.  Last night Mr and I had a great evening with my Rock Star Lesbos at their new pad.  They aren't walking distance by any means, but I'm excited for them to have a new place to call their own and that life is treating them so well.  Mr. and I are loving the patio weather and we have it suited out like you wouldn't believe.  We made the cutest patio herb garden out of a rustic metal wall magazine rack from Homegoods...I'm addicted to Homegoods!  It is growing so well and it's awesome having fresh herbs again for my cooking frenzies.  Our heirloom tomatoes are doing great too and we already have some tomatoes on them.

Last fall on our beach weekend we fell in love with this amazing vine growing up a building along the boardwalk.  It was this gorgeous combination of purple and green leaves with little purple flowers and these  crazy purple green pods.  We had no idea what it was, but snapped off a piece and brought it home in water.  It was doing well on our window sill, but ended up not making it.  On our most recent flower buying spree at our favorite nursery we ended up finding it...a Hyacinth Bean.  So, we of course snatched it up and it's trellising up a crazy piece of thick root vine that we drug up from the creek.  Anywho, super excited that the patio is open and such an inviting place to check out and relax.

I'm hoping for a good weekend at work so that next week rolls with ease and doesn't just hammer me to the ground.  I keep thinking I'll get a call about a cool job with a regular schedule and that I can just dive into without so much turmoil...but until then...I'm gonna press on and make shit pretty and avoid the drama.  For now I'm going to get a bit of patio time in the the dogs while Mr. is off making pretty shit and then he to work.  It's going to be a late night I can tell, so I need as much peace as I can muster.

Wide Eyed Wednesday

Yesterday got to me and I realized I missed one of my fave days filled with inked men...damn it Tuesday!  Work was hay-nus!  My crazy boss is clinically out of control...and now a public document surfaced that is a legal reprimand against his lawyer for another case he was involved in where he threatened the defendant and was found to be making clearly erroneous and fabricated claims just to have a case to file.  So that is the lawyer crazy boss is working with...that is why this case will never end...and I must walk from a job I love.  Now, full on job hunt.  No holds bar!

But I slept in, so that's all the sharing I have time for...until next time, enjoy these wide eyed hotties and think of your happy place.  - Rin 

Tattoo Tuesdays

Today has been a long one.  Up at 5am to get into work early.  I have someone out for her honeymoon, so I'm covering and doing double duty.  Makes the week feel longer than it already is.  Just keeping my mind on the fact that as of Friday afternoon I'm on vacation for 5 days.  Taking Mr. out of town for a bit of us time...and really looking forward to it. Plans were almost dashed by his work because one of his employees is out and not sure when she'll be back, but today we got the green light there on his time off.

Got out on the trail for a run tonight after I walked my boys and took a little nap.  I figure I'll be forced to work out in the gym pretty soon, so I may as well take advantage of the chance to run outside.  Beautiful night run on the wooded trail and then I looped around and ran home on the bike trail.  Came home and made dinner, enjoyed some hulu, and chilled with my kids.  Last year I really got into the UK version of Skins.  I've been so disconnected from tv that I had no idea the third season was already out and available online.  So I of course had to start that up again.

I was a bit spoiled having Mr. around all weekend and now I'm feeling a bit out of sorts...in withdrawal I guess.  With our work schedules this week it'll be a squeeze to get in much time to see each other...I think we're both just going to jog into the weekend.  Possible Zombie run on Saturday night could be a interesting experience.  We'll see if I can be coaxed into going all out and participating.

Anywho, I must tuck in and get some real sleep.  Last night was all tossing and turning.

Tattoo Tuesdays

Arm Candy!

I have a serious weakness for big arms...on a hot guy.  Serious weakness!  I've been known to inadvertently touch them if they're standing too close to me in the bar...my friends just watch with shock.  But I usually just end up saying "This is nice" as I do it, and the guys usually enjoy the attention.  Now I just need to bring a pair home!  On a similar note, I'd like to have a pair myself.  Which will be an area of focus for the new training program for sure.  I want my t-shirt sleeves to breath a sigh of relief when i take off my shirt at night.  :-)

Anywho...easy day at the office...hectic, but smooth.  Went to the gym for running and abs.  Been keeping up on my stretching too, cuz you know I gots to stay flexible!  Came home to my boys and hiked them a short distance in the wretched heat.  I will admit a nap followed.  Now I'm about to jump in the shower and hopefully head downtown for a drink or two later tonight.  Feeling good & just keeping on the right track.

Tomorrow is some shopping extravaganza...with my Gaybor.  He swears he's only invited to help carry shit to my car...but that's not true.  He's a hoot....plus I need help carrying shit to my car.  ;-)

Well...I will most likely be grabbing onto one of these tonight...if not for the whole night at least for a hot minute while i'm sipping an ice cold bevie.  :-)
