Morning coffee and a Cinnamon Scone I whipped up last night. The rest are for the new team at work, but I always have to make sure they're good enough to share. Today is my last day of my first week since Mr. and I are off to NYC tomorrow. Excited for the trip...nervous to leave the dogs. But, once we check into the lovely hotel, some of that will melt away. :-)
At weeks end I'm still excited about the new job, still see a lot of potential there, and I see a lot of room to make it what the owners what it to become. Next week we'll see how they all respond to the first team meeting and everything I plan to lay out on the table. Excited to be the person that they've wanted in their corner for quite some time...it's fun to prove to people that things can change in the right direction and that the promises others made and never kept up, were not the teams fault, but that individuals inability to follow-through.
Meanwhile, I heard a rumor through the grapevine that the old clinic I left in January is crumbling under mismanagement and all the b.s. I was always working to push out of the clinic. It's always a little extra nice to hear that people you've hired in the past at other employers, are seeking you out to work with you again. Kinda makes me feel good. And I love to have smart and trained staff right off the back that I'm 100% confident in their work ethic and abilities. So, lets just say I have some great new hires lined up!
Ok, must shower, walk the beasts, and head off. So nice not to be dreading what I'm headed to or having to rush to meet someone and unlock a door. The past stress is dripping off me like the glaze on those scones in the kitchen! - Rin

Computer Is Cuh-put.
Ugh...just when you think things are rolling along...your laptop goes to a black screen with a blinking dash mark. Will be posting from my phone until I get it reset to the defaults and move past losing all if my photos and documents to the great lost files god in the sky. Blurgh Turds!!!
So, please bear with me...and ask Buddha to send a little love my way.
Cheers - Rin

Third Wheel Thursdays
Beautiful evening with Mr. last night. We couldn't sleep so we just laid in bed sharing stories of our past and laughing. It's moments like those that I just wish time would stand still so I could take even more in...memorize even more about where we are, who we are, and the excitement we feel so that we can carry it all with us into tomorrow. Capturing moments like that is fuel for life. They carry us through the tough days...through the tears...and create the strength that builds even greater bonds. I can honestly say I've never felt this alive in love and with another. Maybe I've said it already, but it's just unreal how it hits me each day in a different way or how it catches me off guard and steals my breath. When he grabs my hand, it's as if I've just been picked up and moved a million miles away. I want that to never change!
I'm super excited that this weekend my parental units are headed down and will finally meet Mr. I know they will love him and I know he will get a kick out of meeting them and seeing why I'm the ball of quirky that I am. My parents are quite fun characters and I think it will be fun to see the night unfold. My mom hasn't seen the little home I've created for myself in my new space and I am excited to get a chance to share it with her and show them around my little neighborhood. Taking them to my favorite breakfast place and will spend some time downtown at a few art exhibits. Of course my mom has requested to get out onto the trail with my dogs too so I'm hoping for a nice fall day like today was.
Well, I'm up early tomorrow for another dog walk in the dark before an early morning at the office. Luckily it'll be brighter in the mornings once we roll back the clocks this weekend. I don't mind the dark morning walks with the headlamp...just prefer to actually see more than 30' in front of me. At least it's Friday! P.S. The pics below have nothing to do with how I feel about me and Mr. I am not sharing him...we're a pair, not a pack!!!! toots - Rin

Thirsty Thursdays
I'm taking a slow morning...yesterdays was much more enjoyable though since Mr. and I had an amazing evening on Tuesday. He planned and executed date that will be hard for me to top next. Flying trapeze class..yeah, amazing! And luckily I did well for a first time flyer, got everything but the catch on the last swing and apparently that was the timing of the catcher, not me. Then we had a blissful morning sleeping in and both going into work our later days on the same day finally. It's weird how my place doesn't seem as much like home without him around now. So looking forward to having him here more and really enjoying the comforts of fall's approach. All this kinda has me in a happy cloud...feeling a bit ungrounded, but in a very good way. I rarely get a breath to just stop and enjoy where my life has brought me, and so having him here to give me that opportunity and motivation is really amazing.
The plans are on for another great weekend. Headed out of town for a quick trip on Friday to see a show and then some friend time and randomness will surely occur as well. I need to finalize my purchase on my new dining room set and I think I've finally settled on my new headboard/footboard...these big purchases just take me some time. I can pick out a pair of shoes and be at the register in 10 minutes, but furniture is a whole different ballgame.
Hoping for a good and smooth day at the office, a quick stop at home for the dogs, and a short run and lifting session at the gym tonight. That's the plan...now I must set it in motion. Coffee and breakfast are on board...outfit of the day needs to jump out and I must roll out.
Here's a bit of watered down hotness for the sunny day. Cheers - Rin
